		PTO Update The PTO would like to welcome you to attend a meeting anytime of the year. Please click on Calendar/Events for a list of meeting dates. Why Should You Come To PTO Meetings? You are a member of the PTO! Each and every parent of a child in East Haddam Elementary School is a member of the PTO! Your comments/questions are always welcome. We need new people and fresh ideas in the PTO! Have new ideas or don’t like something that is happening with either the PTO or in the school? PTO is a great forum to talk about things. We always have time for open discussion at the end of the meetings. Meetings are typically short, less than an hour, plus… We have coffee, snacks & interesting conversation. Do you want to know where all your fundraising money goes? PTO raises over $20,000 each year & only a handful of people decide how it is spent. Come to a meeting to help decide what the money is spent on. Want to know what Cultural Arts are & how the money is spent? We have a Cultural Arts committee with parents from each grade level that decide, along with the teachers, what programs your children will be seeing each year. Basket Bash 2007 was another HUGE success! Thank you to everyone who donated and/or came to Basket Bash. Our net profit was approximately $9,200 - all for next year’s cultural arts programs – WOW! Can you believe that most of the money was raised on 25 cent tickets? We sold over 30,000 25 cent tickets!!! What an incredible school we have - parents, kids & staff - and community we live in.
